RIDLER QUALIFICATIONS

On the front wall of Detroit’s Cobo Center hangs a plaque bearing the names of the Ridler winners. The last statement on the plaque’s inscription reads... “presented to the following individuals as owners of the Outstanding Car shown for the first time ever.” In the years since the birth of this award, we have not deviated from the “first time ever” concept for eligibility. Upon registering your vehicle, you will be required to sign a document guaranteeing your vehicle meets our requirements. The rules are simple, but if you have any questions, call MHRA (586) 771-7110.

If your entry is selected as a Great 8 Ridler Finalist the car will not be eligible for any Autorama awards including class judging and special awards. Each of the Great 8 will, however, received a Cash Award of $1000 - paid on Firday of the show.

Sculptural Excellence Award





The 1997 Autorama included the inaugural “Circle of Champions” brunch, which was held Saturday morning at Cobo Center. Its’ purpose is to honor the recipients of the Ridler Award as well as exhibitors who have supported Autorama in past years. The Annual brunch will again be held Saturday morning at Cobo Center.
